Upamecano and Lukaku in eFootball 2027: is the pack a squad upgrade?

What the September discussions say

The Upamecano/Lukaku analysis in r/Amadeusz describes a 100-player box. It views Lukaku's physical ground play as the relevant strength and questions the edition compared with an older Goal Poacher. Its Upamecano comparison highlights aggressive defending while questioning mobility relative to the cited Desailly.

Comments under the September 28 r/eFootball pack summary also question the value of pursuing these cards. That provides another community perspective, not independent verification of card attributes, draw terms or a consensus among all players.

The practical response is to separate need from novelty. Choose the player each candidate would replace. If the answer is only an occasional substitute or a collector's preference, evaluate the decision on that basis rather than calling it a necessary competitive upgrade.

Check the edition and draw details in your game

Check the current Special Player List, card details and draw conditions directly in-game. Record the exact edition, remaining list size where applicable, cost displayed, any reset conditions and whether the cards you care about are actually included. This article does not reproduce unverified prices, deadlines or success probabilities.

Our October 1 catalog search returned multiple historical and generically labelled Upamecano and Lukaku records. It did not conclusively map the two discussed versions to current IDs. We therefore do not link a guessed record or publish calculated attributes for the September pack.

Use the comparison tool when the editions match. If the catalog record lacks a meaningful style or release label, rely on the in-game details for that field. The written walkthrough explains how to align comparison settings and check what a shared link preserves.

Judge Upamecano in the situations your defence struggles with

List the defensive problems you actually see: losing the runner after stepping forward, being caught by a pass behind the line, failing to win contact or giving possession away while playing out. The relevant improvement depends on which problem costs you chances.

The community analysis's aggressive-defender description makes recovery after a missed challenge an especially useful test. Keep the other centre-back, midfield cover and team playstyle stable. Watch whether your manual input caused the initial gap before attributing the outcome to the card.

KONAMI introduced separate attacking and defensive playing styles in v6.0.0. Read the candidate's current fields in-game. Do not infer the full defensive role from an older single-style label or a previous Upamecano edition.

Judge Lukaku by the kind of service you provide

If the intended job is receiving into feet, watch his first touch under contact, whether a layoff reaches a teammate and whether the attack can continue. If the job is reaching space behind the defence, judge usable runs and the chances those passes create. Do not treat those as the same striker test.

Test the partner as well. A player receiving short needs someone available for the next pass or run. If the team isolates its centre-forward, changing his build may not solve the lack of support. Plan an alternative pairing in the squad builder before changing several players at once.

The Eto’o squad-fit guide gives a runner-focused comparison method. Use the player you already own as the baseline. A new Lukaku edition has to offer a useful difference for your team, not merely a different card design.

Make the acquisition decision after the squad decision

A useful decision has three parts: a named replacement, a specific improvement you expect and a limit you set before drawing. If you cannot identify the first two, save the comparison and keep using the current squad. You can revisit it when the card details or your team needs change.

If only Upamecano interests you, do not count Lukaku as equal value unless you would actually use him. Apply the same reasoning in reverse. Confirm the actual draw rules before interpreting the advertised list size, and do not assume a target will arrive within your limit.

Keep collector preference separate from performance expectations. Wanting a favourite player is a valid personal reason; it does not establish a gameplay upgrade. Neither a pack review nor a comparison calculator can guarantee better results after acquisition.

Keep an edition-checked match record

Use separate defender and striker configurations in the blank match log. For Upamecano, record recovery and contact situations; for Lukaku, record receiving under pressure, runs and finishing opportunities. Match the exact editions before combining any observations.

Keeping two jobs separate prevents a striker highlight from hiding a defensive weakness in the same pack. Note condition, manual input and opponent behaviour along with failures. The blank worksheet provides no pack rating, purchase recommendation or completed gameplay result.
