De Rossi or Rabiot in eFootball 2027? Choose the midfield job

The De Rossi ranking is a starting point, not a verdict

The September 30 DMF ranking discussion in r/Amadeusz places the discussed De Rossi at number 12 in its reported evaluations. It describes a defence-focused Anchor Man and discusses Power Tackle. That ranking belongs to the community's method; it does not measure your midfield or establish an official card hierarchy.

The separate Rabiot review recommends a double pivot and describes proactive ball-winning. Our comparison therefore asks a narrower question: do you need someone to protect a space, someone to challenge possession, or a pairing that shares those jobs?

This also explains why an overall winner can be the wrong recommendation. If your other midfielder already goes towards the ball, adding another active player may repeat a role. If your team cannot put pressure on the receiver, a second holding player may leave that problem untouched. Watch the interaction rather than counting defensive reputations.

Keep the Power Tackle edition separate from older De Rossi cards

Open your De Rossi card in-game and check the edition, skill list, boosters, level and playing styles. The latest discussion concerns a particular version. Earlier De Rossi cards cannot be assumed to share its skills or its training budget.

The October 1 catalog check did not conclusively identify the discussed Power Tackle edition. This guide therefore does not attach a historical De Rossi ID to that review. Search both names in the comparison tool, and use the tool only when the available records match your actual cards.

KONAMI split player playing styles into attacking and defensive fields in v6.0.0. Record both where shown. Keep the source's server context separate from your platform and version; a review of another environment can help frame questions without proving identical behaviour.

Test the holding job after losing possession

Use your normal formation and watch the first few seconds after an attack breaks down. Who is between the opponent's receiver and your centre-backs? If the candidate has already moved away, identify whether that came from your manual control, the surrounding shape or movement you observed while controlling another player.

Record occasions when the central lane stays protected even though the DMF does not win the ball. A useful holding performance can prevent a pass without producing a highlight tackle. Conversely, a forceful tackle does not show what would have happened if it had missed.

This test is particularly useful when a lone DMF feels unreliable. Keep full-back roles and centre-back selections stable while changing the midfielder. Otherwise the same improvement could come from a defender staying deeper rather than from the new DMF.

Test the partnership before changing the budget

Plan one setup with a holder and an active partner, and another using your existing midfield. The squad builder can help you keep the selections organised. It cannot establish how those players will defend in-game.

Watch both sides of possession. A pair that recovers the ball but cannot find a forward pass may only restart the opponent's pressure. Note whether the ball-winner has a safe outlet and whether the holder is available when the first pass is blocked.

Only then adjust training. If recovery is adequate but the next touch fails, inspect control and distribution trade-offs. If the main problem is a central gap, start with roles and positioning. An attribute allocation cannot be assumed to fix a movement problem.

When pursuing another DMF makes sense

Name the job your current squad cannot perform. Then compare the candidate with the players you already own under consistent settings. Keep a short log of central gaps, recoveries and successful first passes across several matches rather than using one scoreline as the verdict.

If you cannot clearly describe the improvement you expect, keep testing the existing squad. A new skill or a tier-list move is not enough to establish value. Availability, draw rules and costs must be checked in the current game before any acquisition decision.

For a more detailed partner and training experiment, use the Rabiot double-pivot guide. The aim is a midfield with complementary jobs, whether the final choice is De Rossi, Rabiot, both or a player already in your squad.

Keep an edition-checked match record

Keep a separate configuration for the holding role and the active ball-winning role in the blank match log. Include each exact edition, midfield partner and instructions, then note central gaps after turnovers and possession recovered.

Mark whether you manually moved the midfielder before the gap appeared. Compare the same defensive problem under both configurations and record the number of opportunities, not just successful tackles. This is a proposed recordkeeping method, not a completed De Rossi versus Rabiot trial.
